Toast8 won't install nor run when Altivec is disabled on the G4 - it quits with msg "Sorry, this software requires a G4 or better processor." Upon installing (and restarting), Tiger-BluRay support comes in the form of an Extension file "RoxioBluRaySupport.kext" in which BluRay IS useable in Tiger even when Altivec is disabled or the (other) Toast software is erased/unused.
